DEQ, EPA officials share air quality results with Bristow Superfund site residents

BRISTOW, Okla. —

  • EPA and DEQ officials met with residents of the Bristow Superfund site Thursday to give them updates about progress made.
  • Investigators finished air quality tests inside three homes on the site.
  • All three buildings had toxins in the air, but each building is currently vacant.
  • Many of those in attendance said they are concerned about rare cancers seen in family or neighbors.
  • One man wants the state and federal government to test people living near or on the site to determine if there is a cancer anomaly.
