Spring in Sapulpa means garage sales, yard sales and rummage sales and Creek County Literacy Program is planning the Third Annual CCLP Indoor Rummage Sale Thursday and Friday, May 7-8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.! One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the programs of the Creek County Literacy Program.

"As residents are doing their spring cleaning and decluttering, we ask that they please consider donating items to our sale," said Melissa Struttmann, Executive Director of CCLP. "All donations are tax deductible. Call 918-224-9647 to arrange drop off of items at the Library Annex, 15 North Poplar Street in Sapulpa," she added.

Last year’s Rummage Sale raised $1,500, which helps further the mission of the Creek County Literacy Program, which is to encourage, educate and equip aspiring readers to overcome the barriers of illiteracy.

CCLP seeks donations on the following items:

• Household Items: Kitchen items, dishes, kitchen appliances, home décor, holiday
decorations, linens, small furniture, small exercise equipment

• Books: Hardback, paperback, baby, children's, adult's

• Electronics: Radios, computers, small appliances, DVDs, CDs

• Toys: Games, baby gear, etc.

Please Note: CCLP is NOT accepting clothing items.

All items donated should be in working order, gently used and clean. Any unsold items will be donated to a local charity.

About Creek County Literacy Program

Creek County Literacy Program’s primary emphasis is youth and adult literacy. 136 struggling first and second grade readers tutor one-on-one with 58 senior citizen volunteers weekly through the Caring Grands program. In 2014, CCLP educated more than 2,400 adults and distributed more than 3,000 free children’s books.
