JCPenney announces closure of four Oklahoma stores

TULSA, Okla. —

JCPenney on Friday released the list of stores that will close nationwide. Four of them are in Oklahoma.

FOX23 reported in February when the company announced they plan to close 138 stores this year.

The Oklahoma stores include:

  • Altus
  • Claremore
  • Ponca City
  • Stillwater.

The stores in Tulsa will not be impacted.

According to a press release, liquidation will begin at most of the listed stores on April 17.
