Bachman Turner Overdrive live from Detroit 1985

Tuesday 09-27 Bachman Turner Overdrive – Takin’ Care of Business

Happy Birthday to BTO’s Randy Bachman. At the height of The Guess Who’s success, in 1970, Randy Bachman quit. He says he was called, quoting Randy, “a lunatic and a loser” and “nobody wanted to work with me” so he turned to family. With Brothers, Robbie on drums and Tim on guitar. His friend, and fellow Canadian, Neil Young, suggested he hire C. F. “Fred” Turner to play bass. Tim Bachman left in 73 and they added Blair Thornton on guitar in 1974. This is from BTO’s CD Live, Live, Live and was recorded live in Detroit in 1985.
