Grand Funk live from the album Caught In The Act

Thursday 09-29 Grand Funk – Footstompin’ Music

Grand Funk’s guitarist/vocalist, Mark Farner is celebrating his birthday today. Grand Funk Railroad was one of the loudest and heaviest bands on the planet. Mark, Don and Mel first got together in 1969 in Flint, Michigan. In 1971 they sold out Shea Stadium in just 72 hours…it took The Beatles two weeks to do that. Grand Funk Railroad added Craig Frost on Keyboards in 1972. Footstompin’ Music is from Grand Funk’s second live album, Caught in the Act, and was recorded during their 1975 tour and you’ll hear it today on Live at Five.
