Band featuring sons of Slash & Robert Trujillo breaks up

Suspect208 has broken up.

The buzzy band made headlines last year with its lineup of Noah Weiland, London Hudson and Tye Trujillo, the sons of the late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland, Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash and Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, respectively. This past January, the group announced that Weiland was no longer in Suspect208 due to alleged drug use, and now they've called it quits altogether.

Speaking with Australia's Wall of Sound, guitarist Niko Tsangaris shares that the decision was made after both Trujillo and new vocalist Cody Houston, who replaced Weiland, announced their departures from the band.

"We decided to end it because Tye left and Cody left to be a dad and we didn't want to keep dividing up our fan base by getting new people," Tsangaris says.

"They're all great guys," Trujillo adds. "It was an awesome experience playing with them and knowing people digged what we did."

Hudson and Tsangaris will continue playing together in their new band, S8NT ELEKTRIC. Trujillo, meanwhile, is a member of several different groups, including Otto, Thredge, Loco Lords and Switchblade.
