Cox Media Group Tulsa was proud to partner with the Tulsa Police Department in a fundraiser to benefit the families of the two officers shot in the line of duty on June 29th. The money raised for the Johnson Zarkeshan Family Fund will go directly to help the families of the two officers.

Sergeant Craig Johnson died from his injuries after an early morning traffic stop. He is a 15-year veteran of the TPD and leaves behind a wife and two young sons. Officer Aurash Zarkeshan was also shot and remains hospitalized and in critical condition. Johnson is the first member of the Tulsa police department to pass away from injuries sustained in duty in more 24 years. Johnson was laid to rest on Thursday, July 9th.
