Girl Scout cookie season begins, local scout shares what she’s learned

TULSA, Okla. — Cookie season officially kicked off Saturday, Jan. 21, for the Girl Scouts.

This year, along with other flavors, there is a new flavor known as ‘Raspberry Rally.’ It’s a crispy cookie infused with raspberry flavor and dipped in chocolate coating.

FOX23 spoke with a member of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma about what she has learned during her time in the organization.

“Selling cookies has helped me learn people skills,” explained Megan. “So interacting with customers, money management, marketing tactics, things like that that will help me learn in the future as I go about my daily life.”

You can now order cookies through the digital cookie website, and the Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma will start setting up booths on Feb. 10.
