Tulsa Police look for suspects in city’s 57th homicide

Nearby business hit a dozen times by stray bullets

Tulsa Police say 20-year-old Leonard Dewayne Walker was shot in the back at a shopping center near Admiral and 111th East Avenue early Saturday morning.

Walker later died at a hospital.

A nearby auto repair shop was hit by at least a dozen stray bullets.

“There were a couple that actually did make it into the office but thankfully didn’t hit anything important, and nobody was here, so that’s the other thing we’re really thankful for,” said Sheena Wagoner, one of the owners.

She told us that in the approximately 25 years the business has been in that location, she can’t remember anything like this happening before.

It’s homicide number 57 for the year in Tulsa.
