Apple is investigating a woman’s claim that her iPhone exploded in her pocket, leaving her badly burned.

The iPhone caught fire in the woman’s shorts pocket, according to KTRK.
Photos show the charred iPhone in a Houston Astros case.
Apple told KTRK it is contacting the woman to investigate her claim and the circumstances surrounding it.
Unauthorized accessories could have caused the damage, Apple said.
