NY police seek robbery suspect who assaulted laundromat attendant with detergent bottle

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Police are searching for a woman seen on video assaulting an employee at a Brooklyn laundromat with a detergent bottle.

The unidentified woman, who robbed the East Flatbush laundry facility at around 5 p.m. Monday, can be seen in the surveillance video arguing with the 47-year-old attendant before moving behind the counter without permission, WPIX reported.

The suspect can then be seen striking the laundromat employee in the face several times with a bottle of detergent, causing the attendant to fall to the ground, the TV station reported.

According to police, the assailant then fled the scene with a laundromat cart, and the victim suffered swelling and bruising to her face but refused medical attention, WLNY reported.
