Scary: Lightning strike sends debris flying in Louisiana neighborhood

A lightning strike proved to be a scary moment for a Louisiana woman Friday evening.

Sarah Ribardi, of Morgan City, had stepped outside of her home at about 7:45 p.m., KATC reported.

Lightning struck her neighbor’s tree, and a doorbell camera caught the moment when wood and debris went flying past Ribardi, who screamed and ducked.

“One step closer and I would have been seriously injured,” Ribardi wrote on Facebook.

There were no injuries reported, but there was plenty of damage, KATC reported.
