TULSA, Okla. — Family and friends said goodbye to Kylee Weaver, 16, on Friday morning at HillSpring Church.
Cyra Saner, 16, Ethan Gibson, 17, and Kylee Weaver, 16, died when the vehicle they were in crashed last week, near Charles Page High School during lunchtime, Sand Springs police said.
Two other occupants in the vehicle survived the crash.
Kylee’s mother said the 16-year old had dreams of attending Northeastern State University in Tahlequah and pursuing a career in counseling.
Kylee was a straight A student, and a talented artist, according to her obituary. She loved all animals, especially her beloved cat, “Solomon”, and lizard, “Addo”; and also helped her mother foster kittens for the Sand Springs Animal Welfare.
Kylee was passionate about volunteering. She loved to pass out tamales at the Lights On event at Kendall Whittier’s Square with her grandmother Joyce each year. She also collected blessing bags and looked forward to handing them out to the homeless this Christmas, and well as volunteering with the Stand Down Homeless Veterans program.
On Thursday, the Sandites held their homecoming parade and crosses were seen honoring Kylee, Cyra and Ethan.
A skate night benefit is also planned for Saturday at Skates Rollertainment from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
