Tulsa Health Department adds 5,900 vaccine appointments

COVID-19 vaccinations Feb. 4, 2020 - Tulsa Health Department Director Dr. Bruce Dart said in a news conference Thursday THD, the Oklahoma State Department of Health, and the Oklahoma City-County Health Department were notified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that they were going to set up a “megapod” that can issue around 6,000 vaccine doses daily once set up. If you’ve been trying to get an appointment to get the COVID-19 vaccine and struggling to get in, you might have better luck now.

The Tulsa Health Department has added 5,900 new appointments to the OK Vaccine Portal.

The time slots are for the River Spirit Expo vaccination clinic.

Oklahomans in Phase 3 of the state’s vaccination plan are now eligible to receive the vaccine.

According to the White House, more than 93 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the U.S. so far.
