TULSA, Okla. — Video obtained by FOX23 News shows a road rage shooting in the middle of a busy Tulsa intersection earlier this week.
The person who witnessed the shooting on Thursday, shared the video with FOX23 News on Saturday. For their safety, we are not releasing their name.
The video showed a man getting out an SUV and confronting another driver while stopped at a red light at the intersection of 11th and South Sheridan.
As the vehicle drives away, the man who got out of his SUV pulls out a handgun and starts shooting at the vehicle that was driving away. Several shots were heard being fired in the video.
Police were called to the scene but the shooter and the driver who was shot at had already left and witnesses gave conflicting accounts, police said.
According to Tulsa Police Department, no one was hit, but one Buick was struck by multiple bullets, while two people were inside the vehicle.
One of the witnesses shared her video online.
A woman came across the video of the shooting online and recognized the man in the video with the gun as her brother, Brian Chintharsy. She strongly urged her brother to turn himself in.
Chintharsy turned himself in on Jan. 16. He is now facing charges of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, two charges for shooting with intent to kill, and one charge for shooting into occupied dwelling. Bond is set at $325,000.
