Happy Birthday to Blue Oyster Cults vocalist/guitarist Eric Bloom. Eric’s stage name, in the early days, was “Jesse Python”. BOC is from Long Island, New York and they are on Live at Five today. They started out as a band called “Soft White Underbelly” in 1967 and finally settled on the name Blue Oyster Cult in 1971. This is from their CD Extraterrestrial Live and was recorded during BOC’s 1981 “Fire of Unknown Origin” tour.
