Happy Birthday to the late Steve Gains. Steve was born and raised in Miami, Oklahoma and he joined Lynyrd Skynyrd just before they did the Street Survivors album, which was released on October 17, 1977….just 3 days before their fatal plane crash. On today’s Live at Five….the song “I Know a Little” was written by Steve. He and his solo band played it at clubs all over North East Oklahoma before he join Skynyrd. Lynyrd Skynyrd will be at the Hard Rock this Saturday night.
