In the phone call, which was first reported on Sunday by The Washington Post, Trump urges Raffensperger, a fellow Republican, to find him 11,780 votes. President-elect Joe Biden won the state with 11,779 more votes than Trump.

“So look,” Trump said. “All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state.”

Raffensperger responds, “Well, Mr. President ... the data that you have is wrong.”

Raffensperger did not comment to WSB-TV about the call. However, he did say on social media, “the truth will come out.”

There has been no evidence of widespread voter fraud despite Trump’s repeated claims. Dozens of lawsuits by Trump’s campaign challenging the election results have been thrown out of courts across the country. Congress is expected to certify the election results Wednesday.
